I archived this in case I ever want to look back at it. I’m reading a lot more these days than I was there for a while so I stopped tracking. The original reading log is still holding my place in case I change my mind.
I’m rebooting this log for 2015. The goal is to read a lot of fiction this year.
I’ve already started off with several books (not just novels) and some lovely fan fiction that I won’t be including in my list (too hard to keep track of because I often binge-read tons of short pieces).
Well, I went on a reading binge with a Kindle Unlimited subscription and I’ve completely lost track of what I’ve read. I started a bunch of novels that I haven’t finished. (Seriously, a bunch.) Then I cancelled the subscription because I was staying up too late reading. Most of those books aren’t on the list because I didn’t finish them! I jump around between books way too much. This just proved it. :)
The plan is to read in the mornings from 7 to 9 but I keep doing other things. Evening reading is also a bad idea because I stay up too late. I’m going to have to figure out how to make this work, because I want and need to read lots of fiction. It keeps me sharp and helps me not become repetitive in my own fiction by reminding me that my pet phrases aren’t the only words that exist. :D
Also, I lost track of the numbers of books I’ve read because I’ve read a lot that I forgot to add, and I’ve started about 90% more books than I’ve finished this year. Also, I only include books I’m reading for the first time. I reread a lot of books. Seriously, I reread so often that I should start counting them… ;)
